Jan 14, 2026, Andover Advertiser: Special needs early years centre to open in Wiltshiren
A new early years SEND centre is set to open in January 2026.
Located in Tidworth, the centre will be based on Wylye Road and is the result of a partnership between Dingley’s Promise and Wiltshire Council.
It will be the fifth early years specialist centre in the county, supporting children under five with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
Lee Friend, chief operating officer at Dingley’s Promise, said: "Where the right early intervention can be provided at the right time, it can be transformational for children’s long-term outcome.
"We are very excited to be opening a Dingley’s Promise specialist centre within Wiltshire, to offer local children with SEND and their families the support and guidance which is vital in the earliest months and years of their child’s life."
The new centre will be the 11th specialist setting run by Dingley’s Promise and will offer approximately 10 places per session.
It will focus on early identification of needs and tailored support to help each child reach their potential. . . .
Councillor Jon Hubbard, cabinet member for education and skills at Wiltshire Council, said: "We are delighted to be opening Dingley’s Promise, which will provide a fifth District Specialist Centre in Tidworth. . . .
Dingley’s Promise brings more than 40 years of experience working with children with SEND, and has delivered inclusion training to over 29,000 educators across England.
The organisation’s mission is to create a more inclusive early years environment where every child, regardless of need, can access education tailored to their development.
Families interested in learning more about the centre and how it might support their child are invited to attend an open event on Wednesday, January 28.
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet staff and gain a better understanding of the services and support available.
