(UK) Ringwood: School adds new SPED room

Sept 30, 2025, New classroom for students opened at The Sheiling, Ringwood

A school has opened a new state-of-the-art double classroom for students with special educational needs and disabilities.

The Sheiling Ringwood was delighted to welcome the deputy lieutenant of Dorset, Sir Christopher Lees, and the mayor of Ringwood, Councillor Rae Frederick, to the opening celebration of the 'Parsifal' building on Friday, September 19.

The new build will allow the school to offer more places to young people with complex learning disabilities.

It has been described as a "significant step" towards the school's mission to provide the best SEND learning environment. . . .

"The eco-friendly building is designed to enhance the educational experience and the classrooms are equipped to reflect this and the needs of our SEND students.

"Parsifal is more than just a new structure; it's a symbol of our commitment to providing the best possible education for our students."

The opening of Parsifal coincides with The Sheiling Ringwood's 75th anniversary, and another impressive double classroom for older students is now underway on site.
