A new independent special school in Alton is set to open in September, after an Ofsted pre-registration inspection found it is likely to meet all required standards.


Anstey Manor School, located on Anstey Lane, will provide education for children aged 7 to 16 with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND).

The school intends to teach pupils in classes that reflect their stage, not age, with a typical group consisting of one qualified teacher and one teaching assistant for every six pupils.

The school intends to cater for pupils whose primary needs include speech, language and communication needs, social, emotional and mental health needs, and autism spectrum condition.
