The school board approved a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with St. Louis Children’s Hospital during the June 20 board meeting. The hospital will bring its Healthy Kids Express asthma program to one school in the district during the first year of the agreement, according to Dr. Jeremy Way who introduced the program. A large white and green Healthy Kids Express van is one of three vans operated by the hospital. The vans have seen more than 100,000 children and performed more than 200,000 screenings for hearing and vision, anemia, lead, dental and asthma.
