WALLACE, Duplin County — Wallace Town Council approved a special use permit this week for a proposed group care facility serving children with severe autism, according to a meeting summary shared by Councilman Glenn Price. . . .
The facility is expected to house up to 10 long-term residents ages 6 to 15.
Price said residents would receive around-the-clock care through rotating staff.
He said many residents would receive one-on-one supervision.
Council also approved a request from KBROS Properties to rezone about 7.5 acres near the eastbound Interstate 40 Exit 384 off-ramp at N.C. 11 and High School Road. . . .
