Verona, NY: District adds therapy dog; 'Mental health needs on the rise'

Red, a 10-month-old hypoallergenic labradoodle, joined the VVS school district about four weeks ago as a therapy dog-in-training, in an initiative through school social worker Brandy-Lee Lappin…. Both students and faculty are thrilled with the addition of Red to the middle school-high school setting, the district noted. … The Lappin family fully owns and cares for Red, said the VVS district.
