North Yorkshire is to receive an extra £2.6 million pounds [$3.6M] to help fund its special educational needs programmes. The cash is coming from the Government to help cover increasing costs resulting from the effect of the pandemic. The County Council's Executive Member for Education, Patrick Mulligan, welcomes the money but says more is needed: Mr Mulligan fears the cash won't cover the increasing demands being placed on the SEN service.
