PROPOSALS are being drawn up for new facilities at Ysgol Plas Brondyffryn in Denbigh, which caters for pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition from the ages of 3-19.
The proposals could be part of the next wave of school investment projects through the Welsh Government’s Sustainable Communities for Learning Programme, previously the 21st Century Schools and Colleges Programme….
The proposal is to bring three of the school’s four sites together in one brand new building which will be built on the playing field next to Denbigh Leisure Centre....
David Price, headteacher at Ysgol Plas Brondyffryn, said: “This is an exciting time for the school as we look to bring all learners and staff onto one site into a purpose built facility that will offer our pupils something really special. …
Cllr Huw Hilditch-Roberts, the council’s lead member for education, children’s services and public engagement, said: “After the successful completion of Band A in Denbighshire which saw over £90million invested in school buildings and which benefitted more than 4,300 pupils in Denbighshire, I’m delighted to see work on our next phase of new school builds begin.
