A PRIMARY school's redevelopment plans have been given the official go-ahead. In July 2020, St Helens Borough Council’s cabinet had endorsed redevelopment and replacement of the current 1970s Ashurst Primary School building with a new modern and vibrant learning facility. The local authority's planning committee has now given the green light for the Blackbrook-based school's redevelopment. This will see an increased classroom capacity and provide support to children with special educational needs.
