Patrick the gorgeous goldenoodle has stolen the hearts of pupils and staff at a Rochdale special school.
He has been a big hit at Redwood Secondary School since he was first introduced as a wellbeing dog at the age of nine weeks.
Children with wide-ranging special needs read to him to improve their literacy skills and sit with him and stroke him to help ease any tension or stress….
"We've got many children with autism and other special needs and we are already seeing the effect he is having - he's really helping with their mental health and wellbeing….
Meanwhile, Redwood is one of 50 schools across the country participating in the Youth Sports Trust initiative to promote as much inclusive PE activity as possible.
