A Southampton school has been given the go-ahead to provide purpose-built facilities for children with special educational needs.

The city council has approved an application to build a four-storey complex between two existing blocks at Cantell School in Violet Road.

Due to open in September 2027, the new building will be used by Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) pupils. . . .

A council report said: "The proposed works would provide additional resources for an existing education site, allowing the school to offer a more effective use of their campus.". . .
