A new primary school supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) will be built in Salford.
£7.43 million [$9.97M] in funding has been awarded to build a school for 150 SEND children on the former St George’s RC High School site in Walkden. . . .
Salford City Mayor Paul Dennett hailed the decision by the Department for Education to approve the multimillion-pound grant.
He said: “We’re delighted to share the news that a brand-new, purpose-built special school for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities will be created in Walkden. . . .
