South Lanarkshire’s Autism Resources Coordination Hub celebrated its sixth year flying the autism pride flag at the council HQ to celebrate the annual week.


South Lanarkshire Council has raised a flag at its Hamilton headquarters to celebrate National Autism Week.


South Lanarkshire’s Autism Resources Coordination Hub celebrated its sixth year flying the autism pride flag at the council HQ to celebrate the annual week.


Autistic adults, children, young people, and their parents/carers joined staff from Education Inclusion and Social Work, as well as representatives from UNISON, to see the flag being raised.


Three men sentenced after admitting to using dProfessor Soumen Sengupta, Director of Health and Social Care for South Lanarkshire, said: “These are challenging times across our diverse communities and for all of our services, which makes it all the more important that where we can we do as much as we can to enable individuals, families and carers.


“We are committed to working together to do our best to improve health and wellbeing in the community, with the community – because they are part of our community and which is why we are proud to fly this flag outside our council HQ.”
