Oxfordshire County Council has approved more than £1 million [$1.3M] per year to expand its enhanced pathway scheme in mainstream schools, bringing the total investment to £3 million [$4M] per year.

The funding will create 20 new enhanced pathways, in addition to the 40 already in place.

Sean Gaul, Oxfordshire County Council’s cabinet member for children, education and young people’s services, said: "These new enhanced pathways build on our commitment to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), giving them access to the right support at the right time.
