A new £43 million {$57M] building at Ardnashee School and College has been officially opened, marking a significant investment in special educational provision for the local community. . . .
First Minister Michelle O’Neill said: “It was a privilege to be invited to open the ASC Northland Road Academy, and it was great to receive such a wonderful welcome from so many happy, smiling children.
“This new school is a game-changer in terms of SEN provision in Derry and the North West. The state-of-the-art facilities will give children and young people – now and for generations to come – the best possible educational experiences, helping them to achieve their full potential. . . .
Raymond McFeeters, Acting Principal of Ardnashee School and College, commented: "Today marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for our school community. Since moving into this beautiful building, we have witnessed a visible improvement in our children's attitude to school and in their parents' daily experiences. . . .
