Amy Walker, 33, believed she was going to die during the seven-minute assault. The advanced teaching assistant told the Sunday People: “He had his arms around my throat, hands underneath the bob of my hair and was ripping at my hair with his teeth while digging his fingernails into my head. “My colleagues were ¬trying to make him let go and I could hear the panic in their voices. I was ¬choking, unable to breathe.” Amy, a mum of two, ¬returned to the school in North Yorkshire a week later and was horrified to find the boy, who has learning difficulties, still there. … Amy, who says it was her third assault from the boy, is suing the local authority school for failing to protect her at work. A spokesman for North Yorkshire county council said: “In the rare ¬occurrences where a member of staff is injured we offer a wide range of support to assist their recovery.”
