Plans to convert a town centre property into a specialist education setting for children have been released.

The proposal, lodged by Sendsory Ltd, seeks permission to change the use of 16 Neale Street from a commercial unit to a non-residential learning facility.

The site, which comprises around 38 square metres, is currently vacant following recent refurbishment and was last used as offices.

Planning documents outline plans to provide alternative provision for children with social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs who are awaiting a suitable school placement.

No external alterations or building works are proposed as part of the scheme. . . .
