The Antler Club, which is located in grounds owned by Fenner Dunlop in Marfleet Avenue, is no longer in use but could be transformed under plans to boost the city's capability to teach children with special educational needs. Children and young people with a wide range of complex needs including autism and speech and language problems would be catered for if the transformation is given the go-ahead by Hull City Council planners. It comes amidst a perceived crisis for parents in the city who say that there are "insufficient places" for vulnerable pupils. Last year, £1,800 [$2,300 US] was raised via crowdfunding in order to finance the application for what would be known as Hope Bridge School and be located alongside the main road that runs between Hedon Road and Marfleet Lane….
