Herefordshire Council is seeking a design team for an upgrade of Hampton Dene Primary School [Deadline: 20 February 2024]

The multidisciplinary team chosen for the estimated £250,000 [$317K] contract will draw up plans to extend the language and communication centre at the school in Tupsley, Hereford which provides autism-specialist education.

The project, planned to complete in 2025, will deliver a flexible learning environment for 16 additional students featuring two additional classrooms, a support facility, toilets and outdoor space. A feasibility study for the project was completed by Nottingham-based Urban Fabric in January 2023.

According to the brief: ‘The tender is looking procure a design team to take forward and develop upon the feasibility work already undertaken that identifies how Hampton Dene’s language and communication centre can be expanded to accommodate an additional 16 pupils….
