The town is among 19 local authorities chosen by the Department for Education to open a new special free school with a focus on pupils with autism spectrum disorder (though not exclusively) an all-through education from age two to 19. Now all it needs is someone to run it. Organisations ranging from multi-academy trusts to specialist charitable organisations are being sought by Croydon Council to apply, setting out how they would be able to meet the specification for the project.....
