A special education needs school in Nottingham is celebrating after it continues to be an outstanding school. Inspectors visited Nethergate Academy in Clifton in June 2023, where the school was once again graded as Outstanding.

The school provides education for 168 children and young people who have special educational needs (SEN). Since the school's last inspection in 2018, there has been a significant growth in the number of pupils due to demand for specialist schools and so the academy has also opened a specialist provision for pupils with autism spectrum disorder….

Tracey Ydlibi, Principal at Nethergate Academy, said: "We are delighted that this report highlights how much our pupils enjoy coming to school and how well equipped they become to achieve great things both during their school years and beyond. I want to thank the amazing staff team at Nethergate and the parents/carers who work in close partnership with us.
