SE England Students and their families joined staff at The Cavendish School, Cambridgeshire’s first and only state-maintained special free school for young people with autism, to celebrate the end of its first ever summer term. The summer activity day was the culmination of a programme of events that took place in July, which celebrated students’ achievements from the academic year…
Since opening in September 2021, the school has welcomed 60 autistic students from across Cambridgeshire, and 20 new students will join this September.
Stephanie Smith, deputy head at The Cavendish School in Cambridge, said: “We are so pleased that so many of our students’ parents, carers and guardians were able to join us for our summer activity day….
"I am looking forward to welcoming our next cohort of students, and their families, to the school in September.”
