July 11, 2017, (UK) Cambridge News: Schools could provide better mental health support to kids thanks to new YMCA teacher training programme Schools in Cambridgeshire could soon offer better support to pupils with mental health problems thanks to a local charity. YMCA Cambridgeshire & Peterborough has launched a new training programme to help teachers recognise when their children and young people need extra support. 'Train the Trainer' will train teachers to identify specific mental health issues, deliver early intervention programmes to children in need, and signpost pupils needing clinical intervention. ...
