A new facility designed to support children with special educational needs has officially opened.
Located at Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Primary School in Bury, the classroom offers dedicated support for pupils while allowing them to participate in mainstream education.
The facility includes an additional classroom with age-appropriate resources, separate areas for Early Years/Key Stage One and Key Stage Two, a sensory corridor, and a spacious outdoor area.
Joanne Davies, executive headteacher at Our Lady of Lourdes, said: "We are thrilled to open our new Resource Provision, which reflects our ongoing commitment to inclusive education. . . .
He added: "This has shaped the way the provision is and we are excited to see them grow in confidence and independence as they make the most of their learning environments."
The new classroom and outdoor space were unveiled during a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by governors, staff and pupils.
Cllr Lucy Smith, cabinet member for children and young people at the council, said: "We are very pleased to be able to celebrate the launch of these outstanding new facilities at Our Lady of Lourdes.
