Sept 12, 2025, Bournemouth Echo: Dingley's Promise to open two childcare centres in Dorset
The charity, which provides support and nursery placements for children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), will open the Poole centre in September, followed by Christchurch in January 2026.
The centres will work with BCP Council to assess and support children who would most benefit from early intervention.
The centres will provide family support outreach for families of children with SEND, including practical and emotional support, and holiday playschemes for under-fives.
Lee Friend, chief operating officer at Dingley’s Promise, said: "We are thrilled to be building on our partnership with BCP Council early years SEND teams and offering more places for children to support this vital stage of development."
Councillor Richard Burton, portfolio holder for children, young people, education and skills at BCP Council, said: "Our under-fives with special needs deserve the right to access quality provision in their local area without having to travel miles."
The new Poole centre, located at Branksome Children’s Centre, 350 Poole Road, will hold an open day on Tuesday, September 16.
