On Tuesday, Davis was busy setting up her clinic for students' arrival. The colorfully decorated office has an asthma zone, a dental care station, an area to treat scrapes and cuts and a place for vision and hearing screenings. It is fully stocked with bandages, over-the-counter medicines and EpiPens for allergic reactions. ...
The nurses are an expansion of the Healthy Kids-Healthy Minds partnership with the hospital, BJC HealthCare and schools across the area. The program includes Healthy Kids Express mobile clinics that treat students' asthma and provide dental care and health screenings. The program is funded with grants and donations through the hospital's foundation.
