What will happen in another 4 years? How can we go on like this? This is a national (and international) problem of monumental proportions. We have an entire new class of children who cannot be accommodated by the system: many are manifestly neurologically impaired. Meanwhile, the government and the medical profession sleep on regardless.

Aviation ABA, a therapy service for children with autism, showed off its new clinic during an open house and family day on Saturday.

The family day featured a sensory-friendly petting zoo, opportunities for parents to learn about the resources Aviation ABA offers and several stations catered to children with autism, including a tactile station with Play-Doh and kinetic sand, as well as a plant-a-seed station so kids can grow their own plant at home.. . .

She continued that the clinic will help facilitate the diverse sensory needs that many people living with autism have. As some people may be more sensitive to light or can’t filter the background noise of life, she said that Aviation ABA tries to provide them with everything they need to be successful.
