SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – A specialized Intermountain Health Clinic that is helping patients with autism and their families by bringing vital autism care and services closer to home is celebrating its one-year anniversary.

The Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) Clinic at Intermountain Riverton Hospital opened a year ago with a goal to bring high-quality autism care closer to home for families and patients.

The specialized clinic offers early intensive services include behavioral assessment, individual and group therapy services for kids ages 2-6 years.

Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital opened the specialized clinic for children with autism in Riverton, thanks to a $3 million gift from a Utah businesswoman and philanthropist and her family in support of the Primary Promise campaign to build the nation’s model health system for children.

The new clinic marked a major milestone in expanded autism services for children and helps meet a rapidly growing need in the community. . . .

Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital is helping close this gap by expanding services, including the new Applied Behavioral Analysis Clinic at Intermountain Riverton Hospital.

The clinic is part of Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital’s multi-year effort to improve services for children diagnosed with autism.

“The clinic is a tremendous resource for patients with autism who have complex needs and provides hope to families and their children,” said Jess Osos, PhD, a behavior analyst supervisor the Intermountain Primary Children’s Hospital ABA Clinic.

The ABA Clinic was made possible by a generous $3 million donation from Sandi and Mike Hendry, along with their family and company, Minky Couture.
