A recent session, titled All Hands on Deck, well represented the type of information provided at these sessions. As Courtney Fox, professional development project facilitator, noted: “All trainings included interaction. This isn’t just about a group being spoken to.” All Hands on Deck, which took place Nov. 7, was targeted to district teachers in transitional kindergarten through high school who teach all subjects. The session was designed to assist teachers in identifying behavior triggers and antecedents, and what they can do to avoid disruptive behavior before it happens.
