(Pakistan) First-ever govt autism school to open


Under the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, admission started at Pakistan’s first-ever government-run autism school. ‘Maryam Nawaz School and Resource Centre for Autism’ has officially opened its admission process under the auspices of Special Education Department.


As per details, parents of autistic children can now submit admission forms online. Special Education Department provided online registration facility and parents may submit forms at autism.punjab.gov.pk. The school established an Early Childhood Education section for autistic children aged 3 to 5 years. Children aged 6 to 12 years will be placed in the Junior Section, while those aged 13 to 16 years will study in the Senior Section. Last date for admission registration at Maryam Nawaz School and Resource Centre for Autism is December 10.
