VIDEO: The Orange County School Board is being sued for $1.8 million after the mother of a special needs child says the district failed to provide the right accommodations during the Pandemic that were needed for her daughter’s education.

…A lot of it started during the Pandemic when they say their daughter was not given the same resources virtually that she was given in person.

…her 12 year old daughter suffers from dyslexia, attention deficit disorder, and developmental and cognitive delay, among other things. …

…The family says the school stopped providing Sienna specialized tools for her disabilities once virtual learning began. …

At the end of 2020, the Florida Board of Education ruled the district was in violation and ordered it make changes. …the school did not do.

The school board then appealed the decision…
