Jan 23, 2018, Schenectady (NY) Daily Gazette: Oneida Middle School put in lockdown over student's behavior https://dailygazette.com/article/2018/01/23/oneida-ms-put-in-lockdown-over-student-behavior
A student's out-of-control behavior forced Oneida Middle School into a 20-minute lockdown Tuesday afternoon, Schenectady school district spokeswoman Karen Corona said.
A student was swinging at staff and throwing items, Corona said, leading Oneida Principal Tony Farina to implement the lockdown to keep other students away. He also called police, though by the time police arrived, the situation was under control, Corona said.
"(The student) wasn't responding to teacher or administrators; he was out of control and somewhat unmanageable," Corona said.
