June 26, 2025, Olathe Reporter, Manhattan, KS: Olathe spent $37 million from its general fund to cover special education last year

Kansas attorney general Kris Kobach called for a federal investigation Tuesday on four Kansas school districts — including Olathe — for attempts at “illegal social transitioning.”

But Olathe Public Schools representatives say “the Attorney General’s office would not provide specific input or information regarding any alleged violations of state and federal laws by the district” at past meetings, leaving Olathe “with no actionable information to make change.” . . .
