What will happen in another 4 years? How can we go on like this? This is a national (and international) problem of monumental proportions. We have an entire new class of children who cannot be accommodated by the system: many are manifestly neurologically impaired. Meanwhile, the government and the medical profession sleep on regardless.

The Golisano Children's Museum of Naples is making adjustments for children with impairments.

The museum, sometimes known simply as CMON, is open on Wednesdays with a gentle, sensory-friendly approach called "Exceptional Wednesdays," from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

"These hours are especially supportive for families with children who have physical or neurological disabilities, including Autism and sensory processing differences," the museum wrote in a Jan. 29 news release.
