In celebration of Autism Acceptance Month, the Minnesota Autism Center (MAC) invites the public to a family-friendly open house at its Eden Prairie location (10180 Viking Drive) from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 29.
MAC is a non-profit organization that provides therapy and assessments for children and adults on the spectrum.
Guests will have the chance to meet MAC’s leadership and therapy providers to learn more about the organization’s mission and vision. Sheletta Brundidge, a local community advocate and author, will also be present to record her podcast and give away autographed books developed around her children on the spectrum….
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 1-in-36 children in Minnesota are affected by autism, and thousands require therapy services. MAC provides therapy to children between 18 months and 21 years old and family skills therapy to parents and caregivers.
MAC’s mission is to improve the lives of people in its care affected by autism, with the vision that everyone dealing with autism reaches their full potential.
