Dr. Mason Turner: We believe that autism affects about one in 59 children, [sic.] with boys more prevalent than girls for reasons we don’t understand.
We think the incidence has not necessarily been increasing, but our diagnostic skills in identifying autism are much better now than they used to be. . . .
