Cognitively and emotionally impaired students, those with autism and older, transitioning students are expected to occupy the building. A former elementary school in the Jackson County (Mich.) district is being transformed into a centralized location for special education programs. … The state budget has allocated $10 million for the project. The money is appropriated through a Michigan enhancement grant for “HVAC upgrades and renovations at an elementary school,” via Senate Bill 82....
