A Wicklow mother says she has been left feeling “helpless and heartbroken” as her four-year-old daughter with severe autism has no school place for next year.
Sophia Nolan is the daughter of Aoife and Stephen, and the family resides in Newtownmountkennedy, where both parents were born. Sophia’s older sister Lucy (8) is neurotypical and attends Newtown Primary School. Her parents were hoping to enrol Sophia in autism classes at the school, but there are already no spaces available from September of next year. . .
