Construction of the long-awaited extension at Scoil Aonghusa has received approval to proceed, paving the way for a major expansion of special education facilities at the school in Tipperary.
Fine Gael TD Michael Murphy has welcomed confirmation that the long-awaited extension at Scoil Aonghusa has received approval to proceed to construction.
“The project, which has been a key priority for me since my election, will deliver 14 new special education classrooms, along with therapy rooms, specialist classrooms and ancillary facilities.
"This will greatly strengthen the school’s ability to support students with complex needs.”
Deputy Murphy continued: “I am delighted to receive confirmation that this important project can now proceed to construction.
"Scoil Aonghusa is a centre of educational excellence serving children with complex special needs, and this expansion will significantly enhance special education provision in the region.” . . .
