Dec 7, 2025 Offaly Express: Major extension approved for national school in Offaly
A MAJOR extension has been approved by the Department of Education for Scoil Shinchill in Killeigh under the Additional School Accommodation (ASA) Scheme.
The approved capital project will consist of a substantial extension to the school, including three Special Education Needs (SEN) classrooms, one additional mainstream classroom and refurbishment works to support the expanded accommodation and enhance existing facilities. . . .
Deputy Clendennen said that "the sanctioning of these additional classrooms, particularly the three new SEN rooms, will greatly strengthen the school’s capacity to meet the educational needs of all students. I’m delighted to see this important project move forward.” .
