SHINRONE National School are delighted to have received DES approval to open their first Autism Class this coming September.
This development will change the school in so many positive ways and is a further expression of the inclusive mind-set they espouse in the school.
They are excited to announce their ‘Spin-a-thon’ fundraiser which will take place at the Obama Plaza, Moneygall, on Friday September 1st 2023 from noon until Saturday September 2nd at 3pm. This fun event will help raise much needed funds for the school and will greatly assist them in the setting up and resourcing of their new Autism class in September 2023. They are asking the community to support them by sponsoring them to cycle or sign up to cycle yourself. Please see www.shinronens.ie for further information.
The pupils are very excited about this new development for the school as you can see on the little videos they have shared on Facebook and Instagram. This new class will give all children the same learning opportunities but in a calm environment where their needs will be met.
They would like to thank everyone for their support. They are working together to make Shinrone a more inclusive community.
