Approval has been given for a second ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) special class in Swinford National School today, as well as authorization for a modular extension for said classroom.

Mayo Minister of State, Fine Gael’s Alan Dillon said he received confirmation of the news today from the Department of Education.

He also thanked the school’s Principal Adrian Cregg, the staff, and the Board of Management for their ongoing dedication to providing high quality education and support for every child.

Swinford NS can now engage directly with consultants and contractors to progress the modular build.
