The members of the Listowel Autism Friendly Town committee can hold their heads high with pride this week after the group was recently presented with not one, but two awards as recognition of its efforts to help the Listowel community be more inclusive towards those living with autism.

The awards, the ‘New Community Recognition’ award, and the ‘Sensory Accessibility’ award, are a testament to the hard work and dedication of the group’s 12-person committee who have made huge progress in a short period of time since the initiative was officially launched in October of last year.
