ST Catherine’s Special School have received planning permission for a brand new state-of-the-art two-storey building with 25 classrooms and the capacity for 158 pupils….
Brigeeta Mulvihill, Principal of St Catherine’s Special School, said: “The whole school community is absolutely thrilled and ecstatic to receive planning permission for a stand-alone, state-of-the-art premises on a greenfield site in Kilcoole.
“It’s an exciting time for our school community, parents, pupils and staff and we are thrilled that once the school is built, we will have increased capacity to educate pupils with severe, profound and moderate learning abilities.”…
The proposed building will contain 25 classrooms serving 158 pupils, a hydrotherapy pool, associated clinician and educational support rooms and ancillary spaces with total floor area of circa 6252sqm….
