A DUBLIN special school has been forced to reduce school timetables due to “severe” staffing shortages.
An Cosan Community Special School in Dublin 7 is still awaiting the recruitment of three teachers, three Special Needs Assistants, and replacements for two SNAs on long-term leave.
In a statement, the school principal stated that there are no longer sufficient staff to safely operate a normal school week.
It added that junior pupils would attend school on Mondays and Tuesdays only, while senior pupils would attend from Wednesday to Friday from this week.
