That, in turn, was an increase of $1,277,236, or 4.3% over the FY19 budget of $29,814,840.
There are 1,708 students enrolled in the district.
In FY21 under the proposed budget, school spending would account for 61.19% of all revenues raised by the town.

Numbers provided by schools superintendent Brian Blake project a drop in state and federal aid, and larger increases in special education and staff compensation.
Special education expenses are likely to jump by 10.5% to around $7.54 million, according to the draft budget….
