Inglewood, CA (KABC)-As more people talk about wellness and self-care, the mental health stigma is beginning to change. Scott Bastian, Director of Student Support Services at Inglewood Unified School District, said: With students and families in mind, Inglewood’s Morningside High School and the Los Angeles Education County worked together to create a calm room. Anyone who needs it is free. Janice Burns, a regional school specialist at the Los Angeles County Department of Education (LACOE), said: Calming Room is a virtual resource accessible from the Morningside High School homepage that provides tools to promote health and resilience.
