Ghaziabad: A big gift has emerged for children with special needs and their families in Vijay Nagar area. On Sunday, the ‘Brain Clinic and Autism Rehabilitation Centre’ was duly inaugurated, which was inaugurated by the popular MLA of Ghaziabad, Shri Sanjeev Sharma. The centre is being seen as a “ray of hope”, bringing new lights of hope for families who are looking for proper treatment and rehabilitation for their children.
The centre is specifically designed for children facing challenges such as autism, sensory processing disorders, slow learning, behavioural issues, and speech-therapy. It will be treated and trained by a team of experienced neurologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and special educators with modern techniques and a scientific approach.
On the occasion of the inauguration, MLA Shri Sanjeev Sharma said,
“This centre is not only a medical institution, but it is a sympathetic endeavour for the most sensitive part of society – especially children. The government and society should work together to promote such efforts so that no child is left behind.
Many parents who attended the inauguration ceremony of the centre expressed their happiness. Mrs. Pooja Verma, whose 7-year-old son is suffering from autism, said, We don’t have to go to Delhi anymore. This centre will prove to be a boon for us. We want our children to have the opportunity to live normal lives too.”
According to the centre manager Dr.Rakesh Kumar, in the future, educational support, group therapy, psychological counselling, and parent training programs will also be started here, which can help bring children into the mainstream.
Thus, this new centre in Ghaziabad will not only provide medical facilities but is also considered to be the beginning of a social transformation. It is hoped that this initiative will take the lives of many special children in a positive direction.
