Horry County, SC: Whole county declares itself "autism-friendly"; they're 'thrilled' about awareness

According to a press release from the Champion Autism Network, the Horry County Council will issue a resolution at Tuesday’s meeting that makes that declaration. “We are thrilled by the progress the autism awareness initiative is experiencing,” said Becky Large, executive director and founder of Champion Autism Network, in a statement. … According to the resolution, the county recognizes the Champion Autism Network’s efforts to educate the business community about the needs of families who have autistic children, “and the benefits of offering sensory-friendly services, spaces and programs.” Surfside Beach and Myrtle Beach have previously been declared as autism-friendly cities. …
