Hinsdale, IL: Plan for another classroom for kids with "significant emotional needs"

Nov 27, 2017, Chicago Tribune: Hinsdale District 86 plans to add third classroom for students with emotional issues Hinsdale High School District 86 administrators are recommending the district expand its program for students with significant emotional needs from two classrooms to three. District officials say the program has been successful and will save taxpayers money. Prior to the 2015/16 school year, the district paid for students with mental health problems to be educated at private special education schools. The district decided to provide those services in-house through a program called Hinsdale Area Vision for Emotional Needs, beginning in fall 2015 with one classroom at Hinsdale South High School. The classroom was limited to 13 or fewer students and staffed with a special education teacher,
